Miglior musical revival è "Anything Goes". Premi anche a "Catch Me If You Can", "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" e a "Priscilla Queen of the Desert"; nessun riconoscimento a "Sister Act". Per quanto riguarda la prosa, grande sconfitto è Al Pacino, cui i giurati hanno preferito Mark Rylance.
