Cinque produzioni di Broadway hanno ricevuto la candidatura per i Chita Rivera Awards 2023, riconoscimenti che premiano la danza e la coreografia in spettacoli e film della stagione 2022/2023. L’attuale revival di “Dancin’” di Bob Fosse è la produzione di Broadway con il maggior numero di nomination, ben sette. “A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical” ha ricevuto quattro candidature, mentre “Some Like It Hot” e “New York, New York” ne hanno ricevute tre ciascuna. “& Juliet” ha conquistato due nomination. Da notare che Dancin’ non era idoneo per il premio alla miglior coreografia, in quanto presenta quella di Bob Fosse dalla produzione originale. I Chita Rivera Awards 2023 saranno presentati il 22 maggio presso il NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. La cerimonia di quest’anno sarà ospitata dalla star di Funny Girl e vincitore del Chita Rivera Award 2022 Jared Grimes. Ma ecco l’elenco completo delle candidature:
