La scarsa afflueza di pubblico ha già decretato la chiusura a Broadway del musical "Gettin’ The Band Back Together", di cui vi avevamo parlato. Lo show, che aveva debuttato in preview il 19 lughlio con opening night il 13 agosto, terrà infatti l’ultima replica nella grande Mela il prossimo 16 settembre dopo 30 anteprime e 40 repliche. Lo show ha musiche e liriche di Mark Allen su libretto scritto da Ken Davenport e i Grundleshotz, un gruppo di performer e scrittori che comprende Sebastian Arcelus, Fred Berman, Michael Hirstreet, Jenna Coker Jones, Craig Jorczak, Nathan Kaufman, Jay Klaitz, Emily McNamara, Jennifer Miller, Bhavesh Patel, Sarah Saltzberg e Fletcher Young. Il cast schiera Mitchell Jarvis (Rock of Ages) nel ruolo di Mitch Papadopolous, Jay Klaitz (Lend Me a Tenor) , Paul Whitty (Amélie), Sawyer Nunes (Finding Neverland), Tamika Lawrence (Come From Away) e Brandon Williams (Blood Brothers).
